OUR IMPACT AS OF 10/17/22

GOTS CERTIFIED ORGANIC COTTON
With each t-shirt made using GOTS certified organic cotton (compared to traditional cotton) we will be saving 695 litres of water, 610 mg of pesticides, 79 g of chemical fertilizer, and the equivalent of 15 hours of a 60w lightbulb or 2 km of average car exhaust.
-
NATURAL DYES AND WATER BASED INKS
Our GOTS certified dyeing process prohibits the use of chemicals commonly used in processing textiles that are carcinogenic, can cause birth defects and other serious illnesses. Water based inks for our prints are hypoallergenic (safer for your skin) and provide no chemical discharge into the environment.

DESIGN DETAILS
We designed our T-shirts in a mid-weight fabric, as well as, used double needle flat lock seams on the sleeves, collars, and bottoms. This was done to increase comfort and durability. Then we opted not to attach unnecessary logo hang tags, but rather printed the information on a clear biodegradable sleeve. Lastly, we attached the required GOTS Certification logo on the inside of our garment using an organic cotton tag which can also be recycled at the end of the garments life.

SMALL COLLECTIONS SIZE
Worldwide, clothing utilization – the average number of times a garment is worn before it ceases to be used – has decreased by 36% compared to 15 years ago. In North America, clothes are worn for around a quarter of the global average. By building focused collections, backing it up with our Brand Mail Back Program, we will be eliminating up to 50,000 grams of unwanted textiles from entering our landfills from our first collection alone.

NO ISSUE
Through our partnership with Noissue for our packaging we have become members of the Eco-Packaging Alliance. For every order we make with them, they will plant trees on our behalf in areas that are in need of reforestation. To date, the alliance has planted nearly 45,186 trees in 22 locations including ares in Ontario and British Columbia.
