Washing Tips

Organic Cotton:

Always wash with a mild detergent and like colours. All garments, regardless of colour should be washed in cold water (its better for the environment). Lay flat, hang or put in dryer on low temperature for drying. As we do not treat our fabrics with any chemicals, you may want to iron your tee to remove wrinkles. In this case, follow the temperature setting on your iron and avoid ironing directly over any prints.

Stain Removal Tips

Oil Based stains: Rub baking soda, corn starch, or washing soda into the stain. Let it sit for 20 minutes and brush off the excess after and repeat if necessary. Launder as normal after.

Blood: Soak immediately in cold salt water or douse with club soda. Launder as normal after.

Coffee & Tea: Soak stain with vinegar before laundering.

Wine & Fruit based stains: Blot stain immediately with cold water or club soda. Before laundering pour boiling water over the stain and apply a paste of baking soda and water and leave for about 30 minutes.

Chocolate: Soak stain in dishwashing detergent and water before laundering.

Grass: Soak the stain in white vinegar or hydrogen peroxide prior to laundering.

Ballpoint pen ink: Soak stain with milk or rub glycerin into the stain and let stand for twenty minutes before laundering.

Perspiration: Soak stain in a mixture of lemon juice and water and then let dry in the sun.

Mending a hole

Double thread a needle. You don’t need to knot the thread, as you can tie the thread ends in a knot when finished (this will make the knot thinner).

Gather up all the loops of thread with a few back-and-forth stitches. If you need to, you can make a few crosswise stitches, zigzagging in the opposite direction.

Tie the ends of thread together and cut.
